The exact steps for transferring files varies depending upon the program you use to connect to the server (Filezilla, AbsoluteFTP, CuteFTP, WS-FTP, etc.). Many FTP programs and Web browsers support "drag and drop" as a method for copying files to and from these FTP servers. Alternatively, from a menu, you can choose to "put" or "upload" a file from your local drive to the selected folder on the FTP file server, or "get" or "download" a file from the selected folder on the FTP file server to your local hard drive. For specific instructions, refer to the online help that is available in these applications.

Folder structure

When you login on the Dovre FTP Site, you will be redirected to your personal root. Initially only one folder will exist in this root: the upload-folder. In this upload-folder, you can make new folders and places files that need to be transfered to Dovre. In the root folder, you will find files and folders that Dovre makes available to you. You can download and view them, but you can not delete or modify them (but you can place a modified copy in your upload folder).
